# A moodboard that remembers why each picture is there.

Collect references inside the document they serve, each with its source, credit, note, status and tags. Pull a palette from them and check its contrast, sketch and present on a board, and decide every picture with a note that says who and when.

_Saltmarrow is a sample project: its studio, team and game are fictional, and its art was made for the showcase._

## References with their source and their status

A moodboard sits in the brief, the guide or the pitch it serves, not in a separate tool. Each picture keeps where it came from, who made it, a note and tags, and a status the team approves or rejects. Drop pictures in, paste a screenshot, or let an agent add one from a public address; Nodary keeps its own copy. Tags group references across documents, and search covers their captions, notes and credits. The Pictures page then gathers every picture of the workspace, filtered by decision and tag. A reference can also be a video or a sound, with notes at a moment of it, or a 3D model you turn in the page, with its triangles, textures and size.

- Source, credit, note, status and tags on every picture
- Paste a screenshot and it becomes a picture
- Every picture of the workspace on one page, searchable

What it does not do: A picture is up to 50 MB, and files count toward the plan's storage: 50 MB on Free, 5 GB on Pro and 50 GB on Studio.

![Nodary's Pictures page: every picture of every document in one grid, each with its decision (approved, changes asked, rejected, to decide), with filters by decision and by tag and a search over captions, notes and credits.](https://nodary.ai/marketing/pictures-page.webp)

## A palette with roles, checked for contrast

Name each colour and give it a role, check text contrast against WCAG, preview the palette as people with colour blindness see it, and export it to Photoshop, Krita or CSS. A palette can be pulled from the pictures of a moodboard, and any picture can be checked against the palette of the guide it belongs to. Mirror a picture or see it in values to judge its composition, as a painter would, and pull the palette again when the references change.

- Named colours with roles and notes
- WCAG contrast for the pairs you set
- Colour-blind preview, and a values view
- Export as .ase, .gpl, CSS or JSON

What it does not do: A palette exports to Photoshop, Krita, CSS and JSON; there is no direct export to design tools such as Figma.

## Sketch, arrange and present on a board

A board inside a document takes notes, shapes, arrows, freehand lines, named frames, document cards and pictures, with snapping, locking and layers. Present it frame by frame from the keyboard, and others can follow you. Studio AI and agents see a board as a picture, and can edit it too. A board holds document cards beside its pictures, so it can lay out linked pages as well as references.

- Notes, shapes, arrows, freehand and pictures
- Named frames, presented one by one
- Snapping, locking and layers

What it does not do: A board is a block inside a document, not a separate whiteboard app: its size and its readers are the document's.

## Decide every picture, and say what to change on it

On the Pictures page, approve, send back or reject each picture from the keyboard, each decision signed with who and when. Circle, box or point at what to change on the picture itself, zoom to 400%, compare two versions with a slider and restore an older one, and know which picture each version comes from. Each decision appears in the activity feed with its note.

- Signed decisions, from the keyboard
- Notes drawn on the picture, numbered
- Its 12 latest versions kept, compared and restorable

What it does not do: Notes are drawn on pictures; a video takes notes at a moment of its timeline, not drawings on its frames.

## Send the feedback outside the team

An outsourcer, a client or a freelancer rarely sits in your workspace. Print the feedback sheet: every picture of a document with its numbered notes drawn on it, the decision and who made it, and every comment and reply beside it. Or share the document itself as a read-only link, for a set number of days or with no end, and revoke it when the work is delivered. The sheet prints from the browser, so it travels as a PDF, and the link opens on the document with the moodboard and the brief around it.

- One printable sheet per document, notes and decisions included
- Read-only links that end when you choose
- Revoke a link at any time

What it does not do: A share link is read-only, with no password: someone outside the workspace reads and prints, and cannot comment or decide.

## Agents that look at the pictures

get_moodboard shows an agent a whole moodboard as one contact sheet, get_image one picture with the notes drawn on it, and render_board a board as people see it. add_image brings a picture in from a public address and reports its palette, extract_palette pulls colours from a moodboard, check_palette holds a picture to a palette, and update_pictures decides many pictures at once, each with its reason. add_comment with a point pins a note on a picture, and its marks circle what is wrong.

> Look at the references moodboard, reject the pictures that break the palette with a note saying why, and tell me which three set the mood best.

Tools it calls: `get_moodboard`, `extract_palette`, `check_palette`, `update_pictures`

## Start from a template

## Questions

### Where does a moodboard live?

Inside a document: it is a block of the brief, the guide or the pitch it serves, next to the text. The Pictures page gathers every picture of the workspace with its decision, and a board can present any of them. Link the document to the others it informs, and the moodboard is one click from the work it shaped.

### Can clients or outsourcers see it?

Yes. Share the document as a read-only link, for a set number of days or with no end, and revoke it at any time. For feedback on pictures, print the feedback sheet: every picture with its numbered notes. They read the link in their browser, with no account.

### Which files can I add?

Pictures, videos, sounds and 3D models up to 50 MB each, and any file up to 250 MB in a file block, such as a .psd or a .blend, which keeps the files it replaced. A picture keeps the 12 latest files uploaded in its place as its versions, and a glTF model opens in a 3D view.

### Is it only for game art?

No. Brand, product, interior, fashion or film references use the same blocks. The sample on this page is a game because Nodary was built first for game studios. A brand team can keep its logo rules and photo references there, an interior designer materials and plans, a film crew locations and looks.

### Can an AI agent see the pictures?

Yes. Studio AI and agents connected over MCP look at pictures, moodboards and boards, read the notes drawn on them, and can pin their own note on a point of a picture. They can also pull a palette from a moodboard and decide many pictures at once, with a reason for each.

### Is it in the Free plan?

Yes, with 50 MB of files on Free, enough to try it with a few references. Pro holds 5 GB and Studio 50 GB, and Studio can add storage in blocks. Moodboards, palettes, boards and picture decisions are on every plan.
