# Reviews that end in a decision, signed and dated.

Ask an owner or admin to review a document, or all of them. They approve it or request changes with a note, and you hear back. Comments sit on the passage, the cell, the diagram element or the point of a picture they are about, and every decision says who made it and when.

## Ask for a review, get a decision

Anyone who can edit a document can ask for its review: name one owner or admin, of the workspace or of the document's project, or ask them all. The reviewer approves the document or requests changes with a note, the person who asked is notified, and both the request and the decision land in the activity feed. A document's status moves from draft to in review, then approved, published or done, and the map shows where each one stands. Asking the same people again within a day tells nobody twice, so a reminder never turns into noise. The document's review panel shows who asked, whom, who decided and the note they left.

- Name one reviewer, or ask every owner and admin
- Approve, or request changes with a note
- Post review decisions to a Slack or Discord channel
- Request and decision recorded in the activity feed

What it does not do: Only an owner or admin records a decision: an editor asks for a review, and never approves their own work.

## See what changed before you approve

Each editing session of up to ten minutes makes a version, credited to whoever typed in it, and every agent write makes one too. Open the history and compare any kept version with now, word for word, removed words struck through and new ones marked, then restore one block or the whole version. Reopen a document that others changed since your last visit, and a note above it says what changed and who did it. A reviewer reads the change itself, not the whole document again, then approves it with one click and an optional note.

- Compare any version with now, word for word
- Restore one block, or the whole version
- What changed since your last visit, and by whom

What it does not do: A document keeps its last 50 versions saved by people and its last 50 written by agents; older ones are removed.

## Comments on the exact thing they are about

Comment on a passage, a spreadsheet cell, a diagram element, a board element, a point of a picture or a moment of a video. Mention a teammate with @, reply in the thread, react, and resolve it when the point is settled. Notifications gather mentions, replies, reviews and assignments in one bell, and any discussion, document or project can be muted for a day, a week or until you choose. Give one member the right to comment on a single document, and see who has access to it and why.

- Anchored to a passage, a cell, a diagram or a point of a picture
- Mentions, replies, reactions and resolve
- Comments written by an agent say so

What it does not do: Comments are for members of the workspace: someone who reads a document through a share link cannot comment on it.

## A signed decision on every picture

On the Pictures page, approve, send back or reject each picture from the keyboard, each decision signed with who and when. Circle, box or point at what to change on the picture itself, keep its 12 latest versions to compare and restore, and send an outside partner one printable feedback sheet with every picture and its numbered notes. The Pictures page holds every picture of the workspace, filtered by decision and tag, so nothing waits unseen.

- Approve, send back or reject, from the keyboard
- Notes drawn on the picture, numbered
- One printable feedback sheet per document

What it does not do: Someone outside the workspace receives the feedback sheet or a read-only link; they record no decision in Nodary.

## See where every document stands

Each document carries a status, draft, in review, approved, published, done or blocked, and its review: requested, approved or changes requested, with who decided and when. A live board groups any set of documents by status, and dragging a card moves it on. Filter the map to the documents in review, or ask an agent for every request still open; approved and done work never counts as late. Each status change is recorded with who made it and when.

- A status and a review on every document
- A live board by status, cards moved by dragging
- Every open request listed, for people and agents

What it does not do: A review decision and a status are separate: approving a review does not move the status, so you set approved or done yourself.

## Let an agent prepare the review

diff_versions shows an agent what changed between two versions, list_comments and add_comments read and leave notes on passages and on points of pictures, and request_review asks one owner or admin, or all of them, for a decision. submit_review records a decision with its note only when the person who connected the agent is an owner or admin. Every comment an agent writes says it comes from an agent, and list_stars lists the documents whose review is requested, approved or sent back.

> Compare the brand guide with its version from last Monday, leave a comment on every change to the logo rules, then ask for a review.

Tools it calls: `diff_versions`, `add_comments`, `request_review`, `submit_review`

## Questions

### Who can approve a document?

The workspace's owners and admins, and a project's admins for its documents. Anyone who can edit a document can ask for a review, naming one owner or admin or asking them all; the reviewer approves or requests changes with a note, and the person who asked is notified. The person who asked decides only when nobody else can, as in a workspace with a single owner. On the Studio plan, a project can be kept to the people added to it, each with a role there.

### Is every decision recorded?

Yes. A review decision keeps who made it, when and its note, and appears in the activity feed with the request. Picture decisions are signed the same way, and every status change is recorded with who and when. The history compares any kept version with what the document says today, word for word.

### Can someone outside the team review?

Not inside Nodary: a decision needs an owner or admin of the workspace or of the project. Outside partners read a document through a read-only share link, for a set number of days or with no end, or receive the printable feedback sheet. Recording a decision takes a seat in the workspace and the owner or admin role, in the workspace or in the project.

### Can review decisions reach Slack or Discord?

Yes. A workspace can post its review decisions, approved or changes requested with the note, to a Slack or Discord channel, so the team sees them where it talks. The decisions of a restricted project stay inside Nodary.

### What does a reviewer see when the document has changed?

A note above the document says what changed since their last visit and who changed it, and the history compares any version with now, word for word. They can restore one block if a change should not stand, and the comments of people and agents sit beside the passages they are about.

### Are reviews included in the Free plan?

Yes. Review requests, decisions, comments and picture decisions are on every plan. The Free plan holds two members, so the owner can review a teammate's work.
