# Nodary works best with an AI, and now it says so from the first minute.

24 October 2026 · By the Nodary team

New members are welcomed with a guide to working with an AI: your own assistant connected over MCP, included in every plan and spending no Comets, or Studio AI, built in. A short film, prompts to try, and what an AI does here that buttons do not.

![The Work with AI guide in Nodary, in Saltmarrow, a fictional sample workspace on the Studio trial: the title Nodary works best with an AI at your side, its lead, Connect your own assistant or use Studio AI, then, under Watch how it works, the film’s poster, the same words over a constellation of linked stars.](https://nodary.ai/release-media/2026-10-ai-guide.webp)

Nodary works best with an AI at your side, yet the first steps put connecting an agent after writing a document or inviting the team, and someone who joined to comment was never shown it. The welcome, the first steps and Home now lead with it, and a guide shows how, for every role and plan.

## A guide, from the welcome

Every welcome now puts Work with AI first, marked Recommended, whether you made the workspace or joined it to write or to read; only a plan you chose on the pricing page, or work you bring from the demo, comes before it. It opens the guide, which stays in your user menu and in the command palette. The first steps now start with connecting your agent, for every role and plan, and Home keeps a card with the film’s poster at the top until an agent has worked in the workspace for you, or until you put the card away.

## Your own assistant, or Studio AI

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code or another MCP client: give it Nodary’s server address, sign in from the client, choose the workspaces it may reach and approve; the guide shows the steps for each client. It is included in every plan, Free too while the workspace stays within the free plan, and it spends no Comets: your assistant does the thinking. Studio AI is built in and counted in Comets: 200 ☄ for the trial, then 800, 1,500 or 2,000 ☄ per member each month on Pro, Studio and Enterprise. On the trial and the paid plans, Open Studio AI, on the guide, opens it on the map with a first question in its field, and nothing is sent until you press Send. On Free, Studio AI has 20 ☄ a month, shared by the owner’s free workspaces: too few for a request of many steps, so the guide points to your own assistant first.

## Prompts to try

Eight requests to copy, each with the one thing to name in square brackets, except the week’s digest, which needs none: tasks made from the problems a document raises, each linked to the document it concerns; a folder’s documents spread over the next four months; statuses set from how complete each document is, with its writer as the assignee; a draft checked against the canon; the documents on a topic filed in a new folder and laid out together on the map; what changed this week, and who did what; a summary of the canon with links; and where documents disagree. On the trial and the paid plans, people who may write also get Try in Studio AI, which puts the request in Studio AI’s field with the bracketed word selected, ready to type over; nothing is sent until you press Send. People who read or comment see the three reading requests only.

## What an AI does here that buttons do not

In one request, what takes many clicks, each item with its own values: up to 500 documents dated, each on its own day, where the app gives a selection one date; up to 50 documents changed, each with its own status, tags and assignee; up to 25 new documents, each filled, filed and linked to the ones it belongs with; up to 20 comments on one document. And what no screen offers: a project’s canon documents read together to check a draft against them; each contradiction between two passages recorded with both quotes for the team to decide, with neither document changed; and a digest of what was written, reviewed and decided in a project, by whom.

## Safe by design

An AI only does what your role allows, checked on the server for every request; share links, document access, members, roles, keys, billing and deleting a project stay with people. Every change an AI makes to a document’s content keeps the version before it, so it can be compared and put back, and a deleted document can be brought back for 30 days. Each change an agent makes is signed in your name in the activity feed, and its comments say they come from an agent.

## A film of about a minute

The guide opens with a film of about a minute: why work with an AI, the two ways to do it, four requests, and what keeps your work safe. It is narrated in English, with captions in each of the app’s 12 languages: yours are on by default, with English beside them when yours is another. It never plays by itself.

## Try it in your workflow

1. Open Work with AI from the welcome, the card on Home or your user menu.
2. Under Connect your own assistant, choose your client, give it the server address, sign in from it and approve.
3. Copy a request, name what is in square brackets and paste it into your assistant, or choose Try in Studio AI.

The MCP is included in every plan; above the free plan after a trial, a workspace refuses every request until it subscribes. Versions keep a document’s content: statuses, tags, dates, filing and places on the map are not versioned. Studio AI is counted in Comets (☄), never in money. The film is narrated in English, with captions. The link opens the MCP guide, with how to connect each client.
