A team knowledge base where pages link instead of piling up.
Write your team’s specs, decisions, processes and notes as documents that link with [[Title]], list what links back to them, and say whether they still hold. Search lands on the passage, the history keeps each page’s recent versions, and AI agents read the same pages with your permissions.

Pages that link as you write
Each page is a document made of blocks: headings, lists, checklists, tables, callouts, code, diagrams, sheets and pictures, among 30 kinds. Type [[ and a title to link another page, and that page lists everything that links to it, so a decision is never cut off from the specs that depend on it. On the map, a link can also say why it exists: related, inspired by, blocks or depends on. Keep pages small, one decision or one process each, and the backlinks show everything a change touches.
- Link with [[Title]] as you write, and read each page’s backlinks
- Copy a link to any paragraph, table or section: it finds its words again after a rewrite
- Read a second page beside the one you are writing
- Start from 30 built-in templates in 12 languages, or save any page as a template
What it does not do A page links to another page; it does not embed a live copy of its paragraphs (no transclusion), and lists do not nest.

Every page keeps its history, and says if it still holds
Each editing session of up to ten minutes is kept as a version, and so is every agent write. Compare any kept version with now, word for word, then restore one block or the whole page. Reopen a page that others changed since your last visit, and a note says what changed and who did it. Agents’ versions are kept apart from people’s, so a busy agent never pushes your own versions out. Mark a page canon, exploration, obsolete or superseded by another one: a page that no longer holds says so above its text, and any AI agent is told before it quotes a word.
- Compare two versions, removed words struck through and new ones marked
- Restore one block without rolling back the rest
- Four truth statuses: canon, exploration, obsolete and superseded
- A deleted page comes back for 30 days with its comments and links
What it does not do A page keeps its last 50 versions saved by people and its last 50 written by agents; older ones are removed.
Written together, discussed on the passage
Several people write the same page at once, each with their own cursor. Select a passage to comment on it, mention a teammate with @, reply, react, and resolve the thread when the point is settled. When a page is ready, ask an owner or admin to review it. The activity feed records edits, statuses, reviews and comments, newest first, so nobody has to ask what moved this week. People outside the team read through a share link: one page, a page with everything under it, or the whole workspace, read-only, for a set number of days or with no end, and revoked at any time.
- Real-time co-editing, with each person’s cursor and selection
- Comments anchored to a passage, a cell, a diagram or a picture
- Reviews approved or sent back with a note
- Roles from owner to reader, checked on every request
What it does not do Comments are for members of the workspace: someone who reads a page through a share link cannot comment on it.

Find the passage, from anywhere
Ctrl+K searches the words of every page and lands on the passage, with accents folded, Chinese and Japanese found inside sentences, and similar titles offered on a typo. Browse the same pages as columns, like a file tree with previews and the arrow keys, or save a view of what matters, for you or for the team. Star the pages you open every day, and open today’s note from Home or the calendar. On a phone, pages read and edit in the browser, and Nodary installs as a web app where the browser allows it.
- Search every page’s words and land on the matching passage
- Columns, with previews, when you want a familiar folder path
- Saved views and favourites, personal or shared, one link away
What it does not do Search opens from Ctrl+K and has no page of its own with filters; filtering lives on the map and in saved views.

Let your agents read the knowledge base instead of guessing
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code or VS Code over MCP, on every plan. search_documents finds the passage, get_document reads a page block by block with its truth status, get_star gives its parent, children, links and backlinks, and edit_document changes only the blocks it names. Every agent write keeps the version before it, and an agent only does what your role allows.

Questions
What is a knowledge base in Nodary?
A workspace of linked documents. Each page links to others with [[Title]], lists what links back to it, and can be marked canon, exploration, obsolete or superseded. The pages sit on a map you can browse, filter and search, and AI agents read the same pages over MCP. It holds a team handbook, a product wiki, a research archive or a project’s documentation the same way.
Can I bring in an existing wiki?
Yes. Import Markdown files, a folder or a .zip such as an Obsidian vault, a Notion export, Confluence HTML pages and Word files, with a preview of the tree before anything is created. Wiki links become real links, and links that lead nowhere are listed. One import takes up to 200 documents and 300 media files.
How do I stop people from reading an outdated page?
Mark it superseded by the page that replaced it, or obsolete. The page says so above its text with a link to its replacement, the map fades it, and agents are told before they quote it. It stays readable as history.
Who can see and edit the knowledge base?
Members of the workspace, by role: owners and admins manage, editors write, commenters comment and readers read. One page can also let one member comment or edit on its own. On the Studio plan, a project can be kept to the people added to it. Outside the workspace, people only read what a share link opens. Owners and admins read an audit log of roles, renames and connected apps.
Can AI agents use it?
Yes. The MCP server is included on every plan, Free within its limits. Agents sign in with OAuth or an API key, read and write within the role of the person who connected them, and every write keeps the version before it. Studio AI, inside the app, reads the same pages and spends Comets.
Is there a desktop or offline app?
No. Nodary runs in the browser on a computer or a phone, and installs as a web app where the browser allows it. There is no offline mode and no native app. When the connection drops, your changes stay on the device until you compare and apply them.
