A knowledge graph your team works on, not one it only looks at.
Every document of a project is a star on one map, filed in folders you open like clusters, around the project’s heart. Links say why they exist and read the right way from either end. Drag to file, draw a link, filter what is overdue and change many documents at once, while your teammates’ pointers move on the same map.

One map for every document of a project
A project opens as a map: documents are stars, folders are clusters you open and close, and the project’s heart sits in the middle. Drag a document onto a folder to file it, draw a link from one star to another, or arrange every project and folder in one go, with names that never overlap and one Undo. When you want a file tree instead, the same project reads as columns, with previews and the arrow keys. The columns and the map read the same folders, so the tree and the picture of the project never drift apart.
- File a document by dragging it onto another folder
- Arrange the whole map at once, then undo it if you preferred your layout
- Switch to columns and move through them with the arrow keys
- Open the map on a phone, with search and capture in the tab bar
What it does not do Nodary does not draw links or group documents by meaning on its own: each link is drawn by a person, or by an agent someone asked.

Links that say why
A link on the map carries its reason in a few words, such as related, inspired by, blocks or depends on, in any of the 12 languages. Blocks and depends on make it a blocker: it reads the right way from either end, so the document that waits says it is blocked, and the map draws an arrow toward it. In a document, type [[ to link as you write; every document lists what links back to it.
- A reason on every link, read from both ends
- Blockers drawn with an arrow toward the document that waits
- Backlinks listed on every document
What it does not do A link joins two documents; to point at one paragraph, copy a link to that part of the page instead.
Filter the map to today’s work, and change many documents at once
Filter the map to what is yours, overdue, due this week or undated, and colour it by due date or by a property such as stage or priority. Select several documents and set their owner, status, due date or tags in one go, each change with its Undo. One rule decides what is overdue, the same on the map, the calendar and the schedule, and finished work never counts as late. A saved view keeps a set of filters, for you or for the whole team.
- Mine, overdue, due this week, undated
- Colour by due date or by a property
- Owner, status, due date and tags for many documents at once
What it does not do A filter dims the documents that do not match; it never hides or moves them, so the map keeps its shape.

Your team, on the map as it happens
Teammates’ pointers move on the map while they work, and what anyone changes reaches every open map and editor at once, agents’ changes included. Click a teammate who is online to join them, or follow them from the map into the very passage they are reading. The activity feed says who edited, commented, decided or changed a status, newest first. Inside a document, co-editing shows each person’s cursor and selection as they type.
- Live pointers of the people on the map
- Follow a teammate into the passage they read
- Changes by people and agents appear without a reload
What it does not do Owners and admins read the workspace’s whole feed on the home page; every other member reads their own in their profile.

The same documents as a timeline, a table or a board
Insert a live view in any document and it lists the documents that match, as a list, a table, a board of columns, a gallery, a timeline or a progress chart. A timeline places each document by its due date, a date property or a number such as a year, so a world’s chronology or a product’s roadmap reads in lanes. Documents without a date are listed under the axis, never hidden, and every card opens its document.
- Six views: list, table, board, gallery, timeline and progress
- Lanes by status or by a choice property
- Drag a bar along the axis to change its dates
What it does not do A view places documents by their dates and properties; it does not lay them out by the links between them, which is the map’s job.

Agents read the map as a structure, not a pile of files
get_tree returns a project’s outline in one call, get_star gives one document’s parent, children, links and backlinks, and list_stars filters by owner, due date, lateness or blockers. An agent files with move_to_cluster, links with link_stars and the reason it gives, and creates up to 25 documents in one call. Every write appears at once on the map of anyone looking at it.

Questions
Is this a knowledge graph like RDF or a graph database?
No. It is a map of your documents and of the links your team draws between them. There are no triples, ontologies or graph queries to learn: a link joins two documents and says why in plain words, and folders group documents on the map. For structured fields, documents take typed properties, and live views list them like rows.
Can I bring in an Obsidian vault?
Yes. Import the vault as a folder or a .zip: its [[wiki links]] become links between documents, and links that lead nowhere are listed before you import. The free document map shows the vault as a map in your browser first, with nothing sent anywhere.
Does the layout stay where I put it?
Yes. Where you drop a document is saved for the whole team, and a teammate moving a star moves it on your screen too. Arranging the whole map is one action with one Undo, so you can try it and go back to your own layout.
Who can change the map?
Owners, admins and editors file, link and arrange; commenters and readers look, search and follow. An agent connected over MCP works with the role of the person who connected it, and a document can be locked so nobody changes it by accident.
Does the map work on a phone?
Yes. The map, documents, search and comments work in a phone’s browser, and Nodary installs as a web app where the browser allows it. There is no native app.
Is the map in the Free plan?
Yes. Every plan has the map, the links, the filters and the columns. The Free plan holds two members, one project and ten documents and folders; Pro and Studio raise those limits.
