Studio AI and Comets
Studio AI is the assistant built into Nodary. What it uses is counted in Comets (☄), one unit for the whole team, never shown as money.
What Studio AI does
- Answers questions about the whole workspace, beside a document or on the map.
- Writes and edits documents block by block, and files, links, tags, dates and comments for you.
- Looks at the pictures, moodboards and boards in your documents.
- Rewrites a selection to clarify it, shorten it or change its tone, with Undo.
It has three modes: Chat for questions, Agent for longer tasks, and Archiver, which reads a project and writes knowledge notes that later sessions start from. It runs on Claude models through Amazon Bedrock, and Nodary does not use your content to train models.
It only does what your role allows: a commenter’s Studio AI comments, a reader’s only reads. Every write it makes keeps the version before it.

How Comets count
Each answer says what it did and what it cost in Comets. Comets measure use and are spent as Studio AI works: a short answer costs little, a long task that reads and writes many documents costs more.
Comets are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
What each plan includes
- Free: 20 a month to try Studio AI, one allowance per person, shared by the free workspaces they own.
- Studio trial: 200 for its 14 days.
- Pro: 800 per seat each month.
- Studio: 1,500 per seat each month.
- Enterprise: set in the contract.
On paid plans, each seat adds its Comets to one pool the whole team draws from.
Pool, caps, packs and top-up
- Owners and admins see the team AI pool, what each member spent and what the team asks the AI, in Settings, under Usage and billing and AI activity.
- They can cap what each member may spend. A member at their cap stops using Studio AI until the next period, or until the cap is raised.
- When the pool runs low, the owner adds a one-time Comet pack.
- Auto top-up, which only the owner turns on, adds a pack when the pool runs out, up to a number of packs a month the owner sets, and emails the owner each time.
Agents connected over MCP
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and the other agents connected over MCP use their own model: they spend no Comets. Comets count Studio AI only.
Questions
Why count AI use in Comets?
One unit measures every kind of AI work, whatever the model and the task, so a team sees what each answer used and shares one pool.
What happens when the pool is empty?
Studio AI stops until the next period starts, unless the owner adds a pack or auto top-up is on. Your documents, and the agents connected over MCP, keep working.
Does Studio AI train on my documents?
No. Nodary does not use workspace content to train AI models.
Can I see what Studio AI changed?
Yes. Every write it makes keeps the version before it in the document’s history, where you compare and restore; agents’ versions never push out people’s.
